Distribution Line Mechanic Supervisors

We’re looking for two Distribution Line Mechanic Supervisors to lead a skilled team maintaining and constructing overhead and underground distribution networks (up to 33kV).

What You’ll Do:

• Supervise day-to-day field operations, ensuring safe and efficient delivery of distribution network works
• Lead and mentor a team of line mechanics and apprentices
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Environmental, and WorkSafe standards
• Coordinate with planners, engineers, and clients to meet project deadlines and quality benchmarks
• Conduct onsite assessments, toolbox talks, and quality inspections
• Support fault response, emergency repairs, and restoration efforts as needed

What We’re Looking For:

• NZ Level 4 Line Mechanic Qualification (or equivalent)
• Current EWRB Registration & Practising Licence
• Proven field experience in distribution (OH/UG 11kV/22kV/33kV)
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Full NZ driver’s license (Class 2 preferred)
• Commitment to HSEQ standards and continuous improvement

Nice to Have:

• Previous supervisory or team lead experience
• Crane or Elevated Work Platform endorsements
• Experience with switching and HV permits
