CNC Machinist – BOP

Join one of NZ’s largest heavy industrial engineering workshop

We’re working with a leading engineering company in New Zealand— a specialist in heavy engineering. They’re experts in rotating plant and fabrication, with a large, purpose-built space for fitting and machining all on one site.

This role is based in  the Bay of  Plenty Region North Island, and is a replacement position.

Their workshop is seriously impressive, with top-end equipment like a 6.4m Double Column 5-face CNC machining centre, CNC lathes, large centre lathes, borers, and mills. Combine that with a skilled team of engineers, and they’re able to produce everything from large, complex parts to small production runs—efficiently and to a high standard.

What they’re looking for:

• A trade qualification Machinist with CNC machining or 3+ years’ hands-on experience
• Confident in programming and operating Okuma machines
• Experience working in heavy industrial environments (20–30 tonnes)
• Solid skills in reading technical drawings and 3D models
• A strong eye for detail and commitment to safe work practices
