Cable Jointers Wanted – Multiple Locations Across New Zealand

Locations: Auckland | Hamilton | Hawkes Bay | Wellington | Gisborne and Whakatane

Are you a skilled and motivated Cable Jointer looking for a stable, full-time role with career growth opportunities? Join our client’s team and work on essential infrastructure projects across New Zealand. These hands-on roles involve LV, MV, and HV jointing and termination work, including installation and maintenance of network substations.

• Permanent, full-time employment (minimum 40 hours per week, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
• Competitive pay: $35 – $48 per hour + overtime + standby

Your Role:

• Carry out LV, MV, and/or HV jointing and termination work
• Install and maintain network substations
• Work according to industry standards and safety regulations
• Operate necessary equipment, including switchgear, transformers, and cables
• Perform live LV/HV work safely and efficiently
• Ensure proper isolations, earthing, and equipotential bonding

What We’re Looking For:

• Relevant Cable Jointing qualification
• Minimum 2 years of experience in High Voltage (110kV – 220kV) and/or MV, LV (11kV – 33kV)
• Hands-on experience in cable jointing to industry standards
• Strong knowledge of electrical theory, cables, and local network systems
• Proficiency in using hand tools and working on live LV/HV networks
• Class 1 Driver’s License (preferred)
• EWRB Cable Jointer License (Full or Limited) – preferred
• Commitment to health, safety, and quality standards
