Immigration NZ Launches the Business Investor Visa
A major update for international investors: Immigration New Zealand (INZ) has officially opened applications for the Business Investor Work Visa (BIV) on November 24, 2025.
This new visa replaces the previous Entrepreneur Work Visa and is designed to attract experienced, hands-on business people ready to acquire, operate, and grow established New Zealand businesses.
The BIV offers a clear, two-part pathway (Work then Residence) to New Zealand residency, signaling a renewed focus on attracting investment that directly supports the local economy and job market.
