Crane Service Technician
Location: Christchurch
Your Role:
As a Crane Service Technician, you will be at the forefront of our clients operations, responsible for the installation, maintenance, repairs, and certification of hydraulic cranes and related equipment. From advising design engineers on optimal fabrication techniques to conducting electrical and electronic troubleshooting, your expertise will be crucial in maintaining high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a tidy and safe work area, ensuring equipment is in optimal condition
- Conduct servicing, repairs, and general hydraulic maintenance
- Assemble and fit components as needed
- Troubleshoot electrical and electronic issues
- Assist in fitting units to vehicles and commissioning
- Perform annual certifications of units
- Provide technical repairs including ECU fault diagnostics and remote control repairs
- Communicate effectively with management and relevant parties
- Ensure safe operation of all equipment and promote a culture of safety
Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Diesel Motor Mechanic or in hydraulic equipment
- Strong understanding of hydraulic, electronic/electrical, and mechanical aspects
- Experience with cranes, EWP’s, side lifters, and material handling equipment
- Knowledge of LMB/AML/LMI computer systems
- Dedication to high-quality work and customer service
- Proactive approach with excellent communication skills
