Your Role: Senior Health & Safety Advisor
As a key player in our Health & Safety team, you’ll be a game-changer with the following responsibilities:
Duties Include:
- Onsite Leadership: Be a presence on the ground, overseeing and ensuring the completion of all Health & Safety documentation on construction sites.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring effective controls are in place to create a secure working environment.
- Incident Investigations: Facilitate thorough investigations of incidents, implement corrective actions, and verify their effectiveness.
- Return to Work Programs: Coordinate and arrange comprehensive Return to Work/Rehabilitation programs.
- Safety Inspections: Conduct regular safety inspections for all active projects, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
- Drug Testing: Implement and oversee monitoring/random drug testing of all workers.
- Documentation Oversight: Ensure all sites have appropriate Health & Safety documentation, including plans, permits, and assessments.
- Reporting: Provide regular Health and Safety reports to Senior Management, keeping them informed of progress and challenges.

- Industry Expertise: Previous experience in the Civil Construction industry is essential.
- Judicious Decision-Making: Demonstrate sound judgment with an understanding of the commercial aspects of the industry.
- Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and initiate action, ensuring a proactive approach to Health & Safety.
- Communication Skills: Strong presenting, writing, and reporting skills, with the ability to communicate effectively.
- Organizational Skills: Excellent planning and organizing abilities, with a knack for strategy formulation.
